Free English and Citizenship
We offer free English classes for immigrants and refugees in a classroom setting led by passionate teachers and volunteers! On an as-needed basis, we also offer free one-on-one citizenship studying and teaching. These are for clients with a higher English proficiency.
In addition to English learning, clients also have the opportunity to ask for help with employment, housing, education, health, and any other needs!
Method
English classes are divided into six small groups based on English level. No need for signing up! Anyone can walk in, take a test to match them with their English level, and begin learning. Students also get added to a WhatsApp group to stay updated. Our volunteers are trained prior to teaching, with any extra assistance provided by staff.
Recognizing that two or three times a week isn’t sufficient to learn a new language, we provide one-on-one tutoring for clients that ask for additional English lessons.
Citizenship studies are taught by volunteers who bring their own knowledge and materials. These volunteers are not only teachers, but also speak encouragement and confidence to make a big challenge feel all the more achievable and less intimidating.

We are looking for passionate people who will teach English to our clients. After a pre-class training, you can help more immigrants and refugees take a huge step in achieving self-sufficiency!

Citizenship Mentoring:
We are looking for well-educated and updated volunteers to help clients confidently prepare and succeed in their citizenship test.
